Q. What is a teleseminar and how does it work?
A. A teleseminar is a series of classes held over the telephone through a conference call, or phone bridge. A phone bridge is simply a single telephone number everyone in the class calls at the scheduled class time.
You will be given a phone number after you prepare for a class, enter the access code, and you will be connected to the instructor and the others in the class. Everyone can hear each other and the instructor, who conducts the class over the phone.
One of the best things about a teleseminar is that you can be anywhere to take the class, as long as you have access to a telephone. Whether you're sitting at home, traveling on business or at your work place, you can easily participate in the class.
Q. What is the success rate of your program?
A. Of the people that complete the class, 90% who finish the class quit smoking and 70% remain smoke free long term. All you need to do is attend the meetings and do the assignments to learn how to quit and become a success statistic.

Q. What makes your program so different from the others I have tried to quit smoking?
A. The Nicotine Solutions program was created by a former smoker, so we know what really works. Plus, with this program, the work is done while you are still smoking. There is no need to go cold turkey, or deal with withdrawal symptoms, when you finally quit. You will not need to substitute anything for the habit. Instead, you learn how to let your habit die of neglect.
Our multifaceted approach teaches you how to detoxify, deal with stress and emotions without a cigarette, and regulate your blood sugar level. You learn how to substitute a breathing technique for smoking to get the same “head rush” as a cigarette. The program even gives you the tools you need to help you avoid gaining weight.
One of the best things about this program is that it is 8 weeks long, so we don’t just tell you what to do and then leave you to your own devices. We walk you through the process step-by-step. Plus, you also get one full year of follow up and group support from your Instructor as well as former graduates, to help make sure you succeed over the long haul.
Q. What if I'm not sure I really want to quit?
A. Half of the people that attend this class are worried that it won't work and the other half are worried that it will! Don't worry – in this class you learn how to want to quit.
Q. My doctor told me I have to stop smoking. Will this program really work for me?
A. Many doctors recommend this program for their patients because of our high success rate. You have nothing to lose but your habit - so give it a try.
Q. Should I use Nicoderm™ CQ patch, Nicorette™ gum, Nicotrol™ nasal spray, ICQ™ inhaler or Commit™ lozenges to quit with this program?
A. Do you remember when Oprah Winfrey lost all her weight the first time and was thin for about 10 minutes? That time she lost all her weight by going on a fast, instead of learning to change her eating habits. Now she looks fabulous and has kept the weight off for quite some time because she finally changed her behaviors.
When you are smoking, you are hooked on the routines and behaviors of the smoking as much as you are hooked on the nicotine itself. If you use the patch or gum, you are not changing your behaviors.
Besides which, using a nicotine substitute to quit smoking is like saying that you are going to quit drinking by going on an alcohol IV drip. You aren’t quitting anything, you are just changing the method that you use to get your alcohol.

Q. Should I use Wellbutrin™ or Zyban™ to quit with this program?
A. People in my classes ask me about Wellbutrin or Zyban (which are actually the same drug with different names) all the time. These drugs are simply anti-depressants—I like to call them Prozac for smokers—and have not been shown to make you any more likely to quit smoking with this program.
Some people have found that Wellbutrin or Zyban does take the edge off. Other people say these drugs don’t do anything. And still others say these drugs had them so screwed up at the end of the day that they could not even tie their shoes.
I really do not think these drugs are necessary at all, but if you do want to take them let us know and we can tell you when to take them so work best for you.

Q. I am a non-smoker who wants to encourage a smoker or chewer to quit. I have tried nagging and belittling and that doesn’t work. I have tried throwing away their cigarettes and I just become the policeman. How do I motivate someone else to want to quit?
A. As you have already discovered, you can’t force someone to quit. If they quit to please you they will eventually find something wrong with you (even if you are perfect) and will start smoking again to spite you....or they will sneak around when you aren’t looking.
